Capture everything that might be interesting for your site users on video: how to get acquainted, how to recover after a divorce, how to use your dating site, people’s success stories, and so on. You can present all your promotional texts in video format as well – it can also help you to get more traffic.

Store videos on your own server or on a video hosting service such as YouTube, DailyMotion or Vimeo. If you store videos on your server and link them to your dating website, you enlarge Page-View time, which is a good signal for search engines. If you post videos on a video hosting site, you get the extra traffic.

 

Optimize your videos to help your video channel succeed:

. Write optimized titles, tags, and descriptions for your video content.

. Annotate your videos. Annotations are clickable text overlays on YouTube videos. Annotations are used to boost engagement, give more information, and help in navigation.

. Create a channel. Optimize and design your channel icon, meta data, layout and branding. Set the correct sharing settings for your channel’s activity feed.

 

To promote your videos:

. Embed videos on your dating site or blog.

. Submit to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+. Google uses social signals to determine the ranking of your content.

. Submit to document sharing sites like Scribd.com and SlideShare.com. These two are the most popular document sharing sites on the Internet.

. Email your list of subscribers. Notify your subscribers every time you upload a new video. It will keep them engaged and help establish a long term relationship.

. Ask viewers to like, subscribe and “plus” your videos. Instead of just relying on annotations to get people to subscribe to your videos, ask them to do it directly in the videos. This will increase the response rate.

. Comment on related videos in YouTube. Subscribe to other people’s channels. You will find contacts in the same niche.

Pay attention to the duration of your video. The longer the video, the less chance that it will be watched till the end. Video advertising on YouTube should not run for longer than three minutes. The ideal duration of a clip is one minute.
