Tinder executives on what the next decade of tech will look like
CEO of Tinder, Elie Seidman, was a guest speaker at The Economist’s Innovation Summit last week.
In his speech, he gave a general draft of what the future of technology will look like.
Seidman said: “That’s certainly been proven true in the world that we play in, and I think you should expect in the next 10 years will be a profound change.”
He also mentioned that we should expect a number of serious changes in social media and online dating spheres. As well as virtual reality will become a bigger part in human daily interactions.
Uber Works officially launches
Uber company has launched a new application inspired by popular dating apps.
‘Uber Works’ can be used to match businesses and freelancers, available at short notice.
Search is built using swiping technology that allows freelancers and businesses to find swipe and like each other. Once they like each other, a conversation option becomes available.
The work available in the app are: events, delivery services, cleaning, restaurant or bar shifts and etc.
The app is currently available only in Chicago, but Uber plans to roll it out on the whole US market.
In a blog post announcing Uber Works, a spokesperson said: “Uber Works helps ensure timely payments to workers and provides more transparency and opportunities for feedback in the marketplace“
Snapchat’s first swipeable lens is an AR partnership with Tinder
Tinder and Snapchat have partnered together for Tinder’s new original show ‘Swipe Night’.
The new event allows Snapchat US members to use special ‘Swipe Night Lens’, which also gives them a chance to participate in various situations from the show.
A spokesperson for Tinder: “The Lens was built specifically for Swipe Night to recreate for Snapchat users the swiping experience from the new interactive show. Each directional swipe will bring the user to a different Snapchat experience, depending on their choice.”
Badoo’s online reality dating show
Badoo releases its first episode if online dating show ‘Badoo Dating SOS’ on UK social media channels.
The show tells about real daters who have to meet and choose a partner out of 2 singles chosen by Badoo’s dating experts.
