Can Hinge claim to be a leader?
At the moment, the largest Match Group’s dating app is Tinder. From 2014, it grew to ~ $ 1.4 billion in 2020.
Match.com, PlentyofFish, and other legacy platforms account for about a third of Match Group’s sales. The Hinge, Ablo, Pairs, and Hawaya apps are relatively new perspectives for the company and are currently generating the smallest revenue.
Hinge’s main audience is older people who are aiming for serious relationships. So far, Match Group has not disclosed revenue figures for Hinge. Approximate statistics can be seen from the number of downloads, which have increased by 82% since the beginning of 2020, more than 10 times since 2017. With around 10 million downloads worldwide, Hinge follows the Tinder trend from a few years ago.
Bumble takes a step towards safety
Bumble is changing the “unmatch” function to ensure security for its users.
The changes are made to make it harder for fraudsters who use the “unmatch” function to avoid responsibilities.
Now, when the conversation is abandoned, it does not disappear immediately. This will not allow the attacker to hide unnoticed and the affected party will be able to contact the security service.
ProSiebenSat.1 stabilizes income
In the third quarter of 2020, ProSiebenSat.1 Group returns to its old figure after experiencing financial losses in the previous quarter.
According to official data, the company earned 921M euros in the third quarter, with the previous year’s earnings being 926M euros.
Moreover, Meet Group and Parship Group employees are preparing a new segment of the ParshipMeet Group.
BharatMatrimony Parent is growing
Matrimony.com, according to their official numbers, earned 1.1% more than last year’s Q3.
Their revenues reached $12.6M. Net income rose by 31.2% to $ 1.4M for the June-September quarter. The partner group’s revenue grew up by 4.6% to $ 12.5M, and added 210,000 more paid subscriptions in this quarter.
Dating.dk hosted Singles Day

And a few days ago, they held an online event “What is love” in honor of Singles Day in Denmark.
At the event, participants could join different contests, meet other singles, and consult various specialists like sexologists, behaviorists, and therapists.
