Happn app says more than 25% of users want serious post-coronavirus relationship
The dating app Happn has conducted a survey on singles in the UK to see how they are doing since the restrictions are being lifted soon.
And 28% of respondents said that they’ll be looking for serious relationship right after the lockdown is finished.
However, almost 50% of them believed that not being able to meet the matches in real life helped them forge stronger connections. And the same 55% admitted that they experienced sexual frustration and lack of intimate contact during the isolation.
Happn’s Head of Trends Marine Ravinet said in a statement: “As humans, we are not made to survive on our own – it is not in our DNA. The need and desire for human interaction is clear, and our findings show that, as singles, Brits are trying to fill the gaps that isolation has created.”
The Inner Circle app offers free dinner for virtual daters
The Inner Circle and Yann Florio, finalist on BBC’s cooking show ‘Masterchef The Professionals’, teamed up to further enhance virtual dates for singles during the quarantine.
The app team will choose 25 users from London and deliver them and their matches a three-course meal.
CEO of The Inner Circle David Vermeulen said in a statement: “The traditional date night is on hold, so we launched Date Night Delivered to keep virtual dating fun. Staring at a computer screen can get a little tedious, but with a fancy dinner delivered to you, it can be a lot more fun.”
Dating app readies to spark South African love connections under lockdown
Private members-only dating app The League for professional singles was launched in South Africa to help singles meet during the COVID.
The League says its video-chatting options and video speed-dating feature League Live are the perfect way to find love while staying socially distant.
“The League is packed with features that allow users to safely and successfully video date right from the comfort of their couch. The 1:1 video chat feature within the app allows users to connect with matches over video without having to disclose personal information.”
