One-third of Chinese Millennials and Gen Z indifferent to marriage
Dating site Zhenai published a survey on Chinese singles.
Only 70% of millennials were actively searching for matches. Among them, 26% were looking for a marriage partner, while 30% of them were ‘indifferent to marriage’.
Zhenai specifically researched it and found out that 40% of Chinese singles did not want to have a wedding, women more so than men.
AI finding role as matchmaker, raising success rate of ‘konkatsu’ in Japan
Artificial Intelligence still remains one of the most enticing technologies in people’s minds. And in Japan, AI starts to play a matchmaking role.
Japanese matchmaking agency Zwei held a konkatsu (spouse hunting) party where participants were wearing wristbands. When they shook hands with each other, their profiles appeared on a tablet computer, facilitating the conversation.
This technology improved matchmaking rates by 20%.
