Lovoo wins Best Snap Campaign award
The App Growth Awards is hosting an App Promotion Summit. The award, established in 2017, selects the best companies and apps.
This year’s Best Snap Campaign award went to the German dating app Lovoo, owned by the big company Meet Group.
Tinder updates security
Bumble recently updated its security to fix a vulnerability in the “unmatch” function that could allow attackers to go undetected. Tinder decided to keep up with Bumble and improved security too.
An update will soon be released in the Tinder application, making it easier for users to report intruders who have used the “unmatch” function.
A shield icon (the Security Center) will be added to the application interface, by clicking on the shield. The user will be able to find out how to report a bully.
Match Group and RAINN Collaborate to Improve Security
Tinder and Bumble recently updated their security. Match Group is now partnering with RAINN, the world’s largest anti-sexual assault company, to analyze user messages and further update security.
The first step is to upgrade the most popular dating apps like Tinder, Hinge and Plenty of Fish.
The emphasis is on the analysis and prevention of sexual violence, human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, abuse, harassment and similar issues.
Trueflutter Funded by Three Angel Networks
Trueflutter is a young dating app for Africans around the world.
Three Angels Broadcasting Network is a large investment company that has taken on the funding of a Nigerian startup.
Trueflutter is going to use the funds received to accelerate improvements.
Feelings different from real life
Online dating was a new breath of air during the pandemic, and many people were happy to start communicating this way.
However, according to Jacqueline Mendes, a licensed family therapist and board-certified sex therapist based in Los Angeles, virtual dating does not provide the level of interaction we see in real life.
By this she meant that we cannot interact with a person non-verbally (gestures). So, this is another disadvantage of video dating.
