OkCupid reports that during the lockdown, the engagement level has exploded.
Number of matches increased by 10%, while conversations by~20%.
Overall statistics showed that during the epidemic: 51% of users prefer messaging, 26% video-chatting, 17% phone calls and 6% are waiting until the whole pandemic issue is over.
Hinge launches ‘Date From Home’ feature to help users do just that
Hinge’s new feature “Date From Home,” allows its users to easily host a virtual date.
Their preceding survey showed that 70% of their users view “digital dates” preferably.
It works when matches chat, the ‘Date from Home’ menu appears and offers to start a a digital date.
Facebook launches an app for couples to talk to each other
Facebook’s product experimentation team launched a new app that helps couples stay social.
The app ‘Tuned’ allows couples to create private social networks to for just the two of them. There they can exchange Spotify music, share photos, voice messages and etc.
The app is now available only for iOS in the US and Canada.
